Portfolio Planning Scheule Week 1


 Intentions and Expectations: 

    One of my main goals during this semester is to focus on character modeling. I was debating on what I can do during this semester in the case of focus. For me, there are 3 focuses that I have with the skill that I have obtained during my time here in Chico: Asset Creation, Character Modeling, and Motion Capture. The reason that character modeling was the path I went with is that I need more experience in the field that I am interested in. CAGD 495 (Advanced Game Production) and being the student assistant for CAGD 325 (Motion Capture) is helping me get experience in the other focuses. By the end of this Semester, I want to have 2 Character modeling portfolio pieces, possibly rigged if there is enough time.

  • Week 2-3
    • Gather/Create References for 2 projects for the semester.
    • Chose 2 references to turn into character sheets for projects.
    • Start/work on base mesh for one of the project ideas.
  • Week 4-5
    • Base mesh to ZBrush
    • Retopology 
  • Week 6-7
    • UV Work on Character Model
    • Texture
  • Week 8-8
    • Texture and Render
    • Rig if possible
  • Week 10-11
    • Work on Base Mesh for the 2nd project
  • Week 12-13
    • Base Model to Zbrush 
    • Retopology
  • Week 14-15
    • UV Work on Character Model
    • Texture

    • Texture and Render
